Amtrak subsidies. Then I came to work and saw
this plan
to build a Turing machine out of trains, courtesy Pete.
C'mon! Even if national pride doesn't spur us on -- our rail system hardly meets the standards of any other first-world country -- the ability to use giant locomotives as computers must be taken seriously.
