While eating breakfast this morning, I watched Jim flipping through an outdoors magazine.
Then something caught my eye. Wait, go back,
I said. He turned the page back
to an advertisement for Viagra. The word Viagra
was in blue print on the background,
and a middle-aged gentleman was standing in front of the V
so that only the top corners
of the letter showed. They looked like horns behind his head.
Were the advertisers really trying to show the man as a cuckold? Or has that symbol fallen so out of use that nobody recognizes it any more?
